Shattered glass, a green line, burn-in or a dead touch layer. Say which, and the number already includes it.
The instinct after cracking a screen is to assume the phone is now worth nothing, and then to leave it in a drawer for two years proving the point. It is not worth nothing. It is worth what the working phone is worth, minus what the panel costs to replace, and on a recent Galaxy that subtraction leaves a lot behind.
Samsung's AMOLED panels are genuinely expensive, more than most phones, so the deduction is real and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we will not do is use the crack as an excuse to reopen the price after the phone is already in our building.
There is also a version of this that is not a crack at all. A vertical green line down a Samsung display is a known panel failure rather than impact damage, and burn-in from years of the same status bar is a third thing again. All three are priced, all three are bought.
One exception, stated up front rather than buried: folding Galaxies. We buy the Z Fold and Z Flip sealed and unopened only, so a used one is a device we have to decline whatever is wrong with it.
Every one of these has two numbers.

Whether the touch layer still works
Cracked glass with a working display and working touch is the mild version. Cracked glass where the touch has died, or where part of the screen is black, is a bigger deduction because it stops the phone being testable in the normal way.
Which phone it is
The panel cost is roughly fixed per model, so it lands very differently on a cracked Ultra than on a cracked A14. On the Ultra it is a subtraction from a large number. On the A14 it is most of the number.
Whether it has already been replaced once
A non-original panel fitted by a kiosk is a further deduction, because it usually means the under-display fingerprint reader no longer works, the colours are off, or auto-brightness has stopped. Tell us if it has been repaired.
Whether anything else went with it
A phone that was dropped hard enough to crack the screen often has a bent frame or a cracked camera lens too. Mention those separately.
Things that do not disqualify it.
