The tablet that stopped being used two years ago.
Tab S6 through Tab S10, WiFi or LTE. Tablets sit unused more than any other device, and they are worth more than most people assume.
Tablets have the highest drawer rate of anything we buy. People use them intensely for about six months and then almost never, and unlike a phone there is no contract renewal to force the question. So they sit, quietly losing value, for years.
A Galaxy Tab holds value reasonably well because the second-hand demand is real and specific: students, people who want a drawing surface with an S Pen, and anyone who wants a big screen without paying iPad money. That is a steady market rather than a fashionable one.
The WiFi and LTE versions are genuinely different prices, and getting that wrong is the most common mistake on this page. Check the model number before you pick.
Every one of these has two numbers.
What it is worth working, and what it is worth faulty. Both are real, both are yours in about a minute, and both depend on the actual device rather than a best case printed on a page. That is why the number lives in the calculator and not in a table here.

If you are upgrading, you are not selling. You are part-paying.
If the tablet stopped getting used because it became slow rather than because you stopped wanting a tablet, a two-generation jump is the one that fixes it. If it stopped getting used because you did not want a tablet, sell it and do not buy another.
Take the payout as EpicDeals.co.za credit instead of cash and we add 12% on top. That is us paying you for not needing the money in your account today, and it costs you nothing if you were going to spend it here anyway.
The 12% is only worth taking if you were going to spend it. If you need the cash, take the cash, and we will not make the voucher hard to refuse.
What actually moves the number.
WiFi or LTE, which is a real difference
The cellular versions are worth meaningfully more and they look identical from the front. Check Settings, About tablet, Model number rather than guessing.
The S Pen
Most Tabs ship with one and a large number arrive without it, because it lives magnetically on the back rather than inside the device. It is worth declaring and it is worth finding before you pack.
Screen condition
A large panel is an expensive panel. A cracked Tab screen is a bigger deduction in rand terms than a cracked phone screen, though it is still a deduction rather than a refusal.
Keyboard cover, if you have one
The Book Cover Keyboard is worth real money on its own and is frequently left in a cupboard. Send it if you have it.
Things that do not disqualify it.
Every one of these lowers the offer. Not one of them ends it. Pick the matching condition, say what is wrong in the notes, and the price you are shown already accounts for it.
- Cracked or shattered screen
- Battery that no longer holds a useful charge
- Dead pixels or a pressure mark on the panel
- Charging port that has stopped working
- S Pen that no longer pairs or is missing
- Bent chassis from being sat on or packed badly
- Will not switch on at all
Three ways to take the money.
